Yeah, late again. Oh well. It was getting really late really fast last night. We were having fun playing Final Fantasy XIV. I heard somewhere that role playing can be good for a relationship. I'm not sure that an MMORPG was the intended method, but it was still plenty of fun to play together.
Most of the games we've played recently have either bored us to tears, or have only appealed to one of us over the other. Ever since we quit playing WoW, thank god for that, we've stayed away from the whole thing, but we do remember fondly the times before it became a total chore to log in.
I have a lifetime subscription to Star Trek Online but haven't touched it in quite a while. It was never something that would appeal to her, and frankly once you've leveled a character to the level cap, which takes about 3 weeks if you take your time, there's no real reason to keep playing at that point.
Sure flying around in a space ship and pew pewing at stuff was fun for a while, but it is so repetitious that it felt like work long before it ever should have.
Anyway, last night the internet speeds were so bad that I just watched a movie I had on itunes. It was cheesy and goofy but it lasted 90 minutes which was all I really cared about.
All in all it was another typical Leesville Sunday: despair, claustrophobia, hopelessness, and the eternal conflict of deciding which of the two marginally tolerable local restaurants should receive our hard earned money in exchange for their almost edible food.
The western themed restaurant, Wagonmaster, ultimately won over the generic Asian restaurant, Hana. At least the guys at Wagonmaster know how to bake rolls.
Day 55: 5+ miles in 90 minutes.
Mmm! Rolls!
