Day 76

I weighed myself just a little while ago, after my walk, and I was down to 221.5. I'm somewhat excited because it means that for the first time in years I might see numbers below 220 when I check my weight tomorrow morning.

*fingers crossed*

I've been referred for 5 webmaster positions now, three 12s and one 13. All but one are in San Antonio, Texas. From what I hear it's not a bad place to live. The other one, however, is in DC, specifically at the Pentagon. It would be expensive to live there, but great for my long term career.

What do I want, you ask?

I have no idea.

Pros for San Antonio over DC:
- Smaller town
- Tolerable commute
- Cheaper cost of living
- Good food
- Nice climate
- Slightly less political work environment

Pros for DC over San Antonio:
- Good for my retirement pay
- Higher profile position
- Closer to my brother and his family
- Highest locality pay area
- Not as much country "music"

Both have vast advantages over this place, namely opportunities for my wife to work and learn, and good schools for our son. Ultimately they're all that matter to me, and I absolutely must get them to a place where they can flourish.

Right now, all of the jobs I've applied for actually look pretty cool, so I'd take any of them. I just hope I can remember how to compose myself during an interview before the next phone call.

Day 76: 5.5 miles in 90 minutes
