Short weeks are the longest. I don't know how it works, but the perceived passage of time is far slower and more arduous than a normal 5 day work week. I guess it could be because our system knows what day it is, but when our first day in the week is a Tuesday our minds think it's Monday.
By the time Thursday rolls around our perceptions are completely out of whack and we are thinking it's Wednesday even though we consciously know it isn't. We assume the week is dragging when in actuality we're right on track.
OK, that was somewhat pointless, but I have to write words on this page and that's what came out without giving it any real thought.
Couldn't tell, eh?
The day was good though. I got that small sense of accomplishment I mentioned yesterday by completing the file reduction that I got from my wife. 13MB down to 345k. Yeah.
*pats own back*
It's really nothing, but it was fun and easy and my wife's gratitude was VERY rewarding. I love doing things for her, but it really ices the cake when she thanks me; especially when there's an audible smile in her voice.
I live for it actually. I want nothing more than to please my wife and to be a good father to my son. They are my world.
'Nuff said.
