Day 52

I'm late. So sue me.

What can I say? I was tired last night and wanted to get to bed. Well, that and I was too busy trying to figure out one of the puzzles on the iPad game, Geared, to realize how late it was getting. Mostly that.

It was an interesting day. I learned something about myself that sort of surprised me. I won't go in to any gory details, but I think I'm finally showing progress in a part of my personality that had bothered me for some time.

Work was tough. It wasn't the workload so much as the fact that my sugar dropped to a point where I basically passed out at my desk. I could not stay awake at all.

I found an app on the app store to help me track my diet, and so far it seems that I've stayed pretty much on track. I was surprised to discover that I'm only taking in about 1500 calories. Considering that I burn off over a third of that amount every time I walk on the treadmill I'd dare say that I'm doing some things right.

I need to watch the fat and carbs a bit better, but for the most part I'm on track.

My wife told me not to punish myself with another 8 mile walk so I only went for the duration of 2 episodes; basically 90 minutes, including a short cooldown after the credits rolled on the second.

No pain. Very nice.

Day 52: 5+ miles in 90 minutes, including CD.
