What a day.
Our son was bound and determined to utterly enrage us today. There was not a single thing we could do to get him to pay any attention to what we were telling him, let alone cooperate with us.
The food at Olive Garden was horrid. My chicken slabs were dry and tough. My wife's salmon was so tasteless that she actually peppered it, something she NEVER does. Our broccoli was complete junk. Our server basically threw the food at us, and didn't even check to see if we were enjoying the food before she handed us the check and started taking our half full plates away. The only redeeming element of our meal was the soup, though it was decidedly devoid of substance.
I don't think we'll be going back there, ever.
The upside of the day was that the three cds I recently ordered came in yesterday and they turned out to be some of the best I have ever bought. Devin Townsend's Addicted, Animals as Leaders' debut instrumental, and Opeth's Ghost Reveries. Simply perfect music, all of it.
We got back from Lake Charles rather late but I still did my five miles. I checked the scale contrary to what I had said and it looks like I'm back on track. I expected to be thoroughly disappointed but it was not the case.
Now all I need is a GS13 position. Well, maybe not ALL I need but it's a start.
Day 54: 5+ miles in 90 minutes.
