Yeah, late again. Oh well. I was tired, so there!
I got a call about one of the jobs I applied for, but as usual I allowed my extreme honesty to potentially jeopardize my chances at being offered the position.
The guy told me he had a few questions for me and then asked if I had any experience with SharePoint. I do, of course, but it's limited since our MACOM decided to centralize everything and not to allow subordinate units to run their own pages, and then didn't give me access for well over a year.
I told the guy the truth. I'm fully trained, and I'm working on our portal now.
His "few" questions suddenly turned into just the one and the conversation was basically over.
I'm not about to lie about my skill set, but I guess my version of honesty is a little to heavy on information generosity.
The worst part is that it was the job I had a really good vibe about.
Being stuck here because I keep telling the truth is like going to hell for being good.
I was clearly not built for human interaction.
The walk? 6 miles. I would have done a 10 mile punishment walk, but I started quite late. Grocery night does that to us sometimes. I did crank up the pace to 3.8 though and maintained it up to the 5.75 mile mark.
But in all fairness I did get punished anyway today. One of the new Atkins Diet bars I got triggered an allergic reaction and my insides have been churning all day.
Yay.
Double yay.
Day 72: I suck, and I walked 6 miles in just shy of 96 minutes.
