Day one of limbo went relatively well, though I couldn't get a hold of anyone in DC and I spent most of the morning finding out that all of the cool 3BR unit apartments we had looked at were all rented out.
Still, I know that everything will work out fine, no matter how long it takes to get all of the paperwork processed. Of course I am hoping for sooner than later. It would be very nice to be out of here before the holidays.
I don't really put much stock in the whole holiday season, but this year we finally have a chance to spend some time with family. It would be perfect if we could spend that time in DC rather than here!
I've never been more excited about a move. I used to get all nervous about the logistics and all of the details, but this time it feels Ike we're going home even though we've never lived there before. It's not just the availability of all of the amenities, the shopping, the restaurants, and all of the cool things to see in town, it's that I'll be working in my dream location.
Ever since I started considering enlisting my hope was to eventually work at the pentagon as a civilian. My path has taken so many wild turns that at times it was almost dizzying, but nonetheless I still ended up right on track.
So this is what happiness feels like. Nice. I like it.
Day 81: 5.5 miles in 90:10.
My weight was 217.5 at bed time. Time to buy some new clothes.
