Day 84

It's official. We're moving to DC.

I'll be a GS12 by the first week in December, and I'll be working where I've wanted to work since i first considered enlisting in the Army.

I got the call early this morning and everything was good to go. I've been smiling ever since.

To top off the day an apartment came available that had everything we wanted and the leasing agent made sure she had me squared away before she even left the office. She called me on my cell to reassure me that everything was good to go.

I have never been so excited about a move. In fact I've always dreaded moving even though I've had to do it so much. If I count the small ones this will be move number 39. But as far as I'm concerned this is move number one. This is the one I've been waiting for.

I also got some really good compliments on my weight loss today.

Needless to say I'm in very good spirits, though it is being rather tempered with my guitar gear obsession. I've decided not to let it bog me down with the same old guilt and just allow reason to rule to keep me from doing stupid things, namely buying expensive pieces of gear right before a major move.

Though the deal is decidedly tempting.

If it goes through I'll write about it. If not, well, I probably still will...

Day 84: 5.5 miles in 90 minutes.

GS12!!!
