Day 86

Moving to DC is going to be like going home! So many of our friends are there, and with the good schools and the unlimited job opportunities I'd dare say that I'd be willing to stay there for a good while.

I don't mind city life. In fact I love it. After living in Rome, Naples, Paris, and Atlanta for so much of my life, I've come to crave that crazy pace.

The main complaint I hear form people is the traffic. Traffic means more time to listen to tunes, or, if the wife is in the car with me, more time to talk. As long as I'm not missing something of paramount importance I like traffic.

After living here I almost miss smog.

This place is NOT for me. I've gone over the reasons before so I'll refrain from revisiting them.

This is the first major move in my life that I've actually looked forward to. Sure I was excited about going to Italy when I was 7, but the concept that I was never coming home was still foreign to me.

Not only am I not stressed out, but I'm actually anticipating tackling the whole process. I'm completely at peace.

Oh, and the scale said 212. Wow. I think it might be a fluke so I'm not going to jump for joy, but still. That would mean that I've lost 55 pounds. That's over half a pound per day since day 1.

Woot!

Day 86: 5.5 miles in 90:30
