Day 117

December 4.

The first night in the new apartment went relatively well, even though all we had to sleep on was a pillow top for an as of yet undelivered mattress.

The stuff was delivered mid morning without any snags or damages.

We met up with my new boss around lunch time and he took us over to the Pentagon and gave us the grand tour.

What an amazing place!

Every corridor is a museum of military history. It's fascinating!

Lots of things were closed, but we really got a sense of the sheer scope of the place. It's quite breathtaking to be honest.

Afterward he took us on a quick driving tour of the main sights in DC. I'd seen it all before, but seeing it all with my wife and son with a whole new context attached to it was far more invigorating.

Knowing we're here to stay.... Wow.

After we got home the order of the day was to build our new IKEA furniture.

Talk about exercise!!!

Again I had let time fly by without heading over to the complex fitness center, so walking was out for the night. No big deal though since IKEA furniture assembly is no joke.

Day 117: IKEA, again, this time, ouch!
